Privacy Policy
Amerivision Communications, Inc., an Oklahoma corporation doing business as Affinity4 ("Affinity4"), is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the information provided to us: (i) by visitors to our Web sites, including www.affinity4.com, or (ii) offline, including via Affinity4’s call center. Affinity4 may request information from people visiting our Web sites at several different points on our Web sites. Similarly, Affinity4 may request information from people calling Affinity4’s call center for any number of reasons. Affinity4 is the sole owner of the information collected on these Web sites or via Affinity4’s call center. We will not collect any personally identifiable information (“PII”) unless the visitor/caller (“User”) provides it to us voluntarily. PII includes an individual’s name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and billing information, which may include credit card information. Affinity4 is dedicated to building a long-term relationship with all of our Users. We will not sell, share or rent PII to others in ways other than as disclosed in this Privacy Policy. For your protection, we utilize a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) on all pages that require you to complete payment information.
Collection/Use of Information
The only PII we collect is provided voluntarily. Affinity4 collects PII for a variety of purposes. For example, PII is used to verify, process and administer your product and service requests, assess credit-worthiness, maintain our commercial relationship with you, and analyze, understand and respond to your service needs.
Affinity4 has contracted with a third party to enable Affinity4’s to provide its wireless service, and to perform certain services on behalf of Affinity4’s wireless telephone subscribers, including, without limitation, subscriber acquisition, subscriber processing, subscriber billing, subscriber payment collection services, subscriber customer care and other subscriber support functions. Affinity4 and the third party shall comply with the FCC’s Customer Proprietary Network Information (“CPNI”) rules, and shall protect the confidentiality of CPNI. In addition, the third party has agreed to use any PII it collects on behalf of Affinity4 solely for the purposes of fulfilling its agreement with Affinity4.
Affinity4 may send Users information about special offers, Site updates, contests and other offerings via e-mail. We may also send information about products and offerings from any of our affiliates, including Beliefnet, or partners that we think may be of interest to our Users. To opt out of receiving these messages, click on the opt-out link at the bottom of our e-mails.
Affinity4 may also share your PII with affiliated companies, including Beliefnet. In addition, Affinity4 may share your PII with advertisers and business partners that are not affiliated with Affinity4, but would like to send you information about their products and services.
Finally, Affinity4 may share PII in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, violation of Affinity4’s Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law. In these circumstances, we will use reasonable efforts to disclose only the information required by law, subpoena or court order to be disclosed. Affinity4 may also disclose User information if required in connection with any sale or transfer of all or a portion of Affinity4’s assets.
Communication
Affinity4 will not read, listen to or disclose to any third parties private e-mail, conversations, or other communications that are transmitted using Affinity4 services except as required to ensure proper operation of services or as otherwise authorized by law and in connection with your agreement for the use of our services.
Security
Affinity4 has implemented reasonable security measures to safeguard the privacy of your PII from unauthorized access or improper use. Affinity4 will continue to revise policies and implement additional security features as new technology becomes available and commercially reasonable. However, no system or service on the Internet can give a 100% guaranty of security. Therefore, you acknowledge the risk that third parties may gain unauthorized access to your information when using Affinity4 services.
Notification of Changes to Privacy Policy
If we make any changes to the Affinity4 Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on Affinity4 Web sites so customers are informed of what information we collect and how we use that information. We will use information in accordance with the Affinity4 Privacy Policy, which you should review regularly for any changes, additions or modifications.
Links to Other Sites
For the convenience of our Users, our Web sites may contain links to other sites. While we generally try to link only to sites that share similar high standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the content, products or services offered or the privacy and security practices employed by these other sites.
Children’s Privacy Policy
Affinity4 recognizes the importance of children’s safety and privacy on the Internet. For this reason, and to comply with certain laws, we do not intentionally collect PII from children under the age of 13, nor do we offer content targeted to children under 13. Children should always ask their parents or guardians for permission before disclosing any information online. You can also obtain additional information about safe surfing through the Federal Trade Commission Web site (www.ftc.gov).
Account Information
Affinity4 honors requests from Users to review all PII maintained in reasonably retrievable form, which currently consists of your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and/or billing information, and will correct any such information which may be inaccurate. Users may verify that appropriate corrections have been made.
Questions
If you are a consumer with concerns about the Affinity4 online Privacy Policy or its implementation, you may contact us in writing by directing your response to the Affinity4 Privacy Officer at customerservice@Affinity4.com. If you have submitted PII, and would like that information deleted from our records, please contact us at customerservice@Affinity4.com. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete that information from our files. However, we are not responsible for removing your PII from the lists of any third party who has previously been provided your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Since Affinity4 must use some of your PII to provide you with services, there are some types of this information that you cannot delete unless you cancel your service.
